Fall Gardening

We are looking forward to cooler weather. Fall gardening season is a great time to transplant: broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, greens. Check this local Dallas garden planting guide for more ideas from Texas A&M.

Join us and community volunteers to harvest crops grown in our Donation Garden for distribution to local food banks.

Board Meeting

The LHCG Board of Directors meetings are cancelled until further notice during the virus pandemic.  The Board holds Zoom meetings online.  Unfortunately, they are not open to the public because of internet constraints.

Visit Our Gardens

Come visit us!  Visitors are welcome in the gardens. We are open dawn to dusk, seven days a week.

No dogs allowed in the plots. All dogs must be on a leash.

Community Day

The next “Community Day” is Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 (8am-12pm). That is when all gardeners gather for the quarterly maintenance of the garden. Gardeners repair plots, pathways, common areas, specialty gardens. It is time for a spruce up as Dallas’ finest community garden park. We welcome volunteers to join plot holders to spend a morning at the garden.
